Do you have too many extra greeting cards?

Do you have too many extra greeting cards?

Do you have too many greeting cards?

Are you looking for some ideas on what to do with old greeting cards?

Try making a pocket notebook!

I have a lot of greeting cards for my store. They are not my bestseller and I have been thinking about what to do with all of the overstock. I didn't want to throw them away and I didn't want to discount them. I have been using them for notes for customers that place online orders but I don't get enough of those to make much of a dent.

So.. I put them on the back burner until I came across this Youtube Video by Fizz and Flourish.

She goes into step by step on how to make your own pocket notebook. The best part, was she actually chose sewing the notebook with a sewing machine versus staples or stitch binding.

Totally game changer for me.

She also gives advice on the best paper to use which also was perfect because that meant I could use my greeting cards.

As soon as I saw the video... I jumped to make my own and before I knew it, I made 5.

I honestly can't believe I didn't think about making something like this before because the amount of greeting cards were starting to stack up. Now that I have another use for them, I'm going to make a bunch of the upcoming Summer craft shows.

I will have them available in both blank and lined but I believe lined is more popular so I'll probably have more of those in stock.  If you want to see my process video for the pocket notebook.

Have you've considered other ways to recycle greeting cards?
